Chromium(III) oxide is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula Cr2O3. It appears as a green crystalline powder, insoluble in water, acids, and alkaline solutions, but soluble in hot alkali metal bromate solutions. It is primarily used for coloring ceramics and enamels, and can also serve as an analytical reagent and a catalyst.
