Methyl Tert Butyl Ether MTBE is mainly used as a gasoline additive and has excellent knock resistance. It has good miscibility with gasoline, less water absorption and no pollution to the environment. MTBE can improve the cold start characteristics and acceleration performance of gasoline, and has no adverse effect on gas resistance.
